You can choose yourself without abandoning others.
I help clients understand the relationship and emotional patterns that developed as ways of staying connected, maintaining peace, or protecting themselves. Therapy is a space to recognize those patterns, understand where they came from, and begin making choices based on what you genuinely want rather than what you feel responsible or obligated to do.
About Ami
She helps clients understand the roots of people-pleasing, self-blame, attachment anxiety, and family-of-origin patterns so they can set healthier boundaries, navigate relationships with more confidence, and make choices that reflect what they truly want.
She understands shame as a nervous-system pattern, not a character flaw - and she treats it as something that can actually change.
What that usually looks like
- 01Feeling responsible for other people's emotions, problems, or reactions—and assuming you did something wrong when someone is upset.
- 02Saying yes when you want to say no because disappointing someone feels worse than overextending yourself.
- 03A chronic sense of loneliness even when surrounded by others.
- 04Feeling accomplished on paper but privately struggling with the sense that you are failing, falling behind, or still not good enough.
- 05A inner inner critic that feels hard or even impossible to tune out.
“By identifying your relationship patterns, you can feel empowered to make the choices you want, instead of the ones you think you need to.” *

How I Think About the Work
I help you understand the patterns that keep showing up in your relationships, emotions, and choices, including how earlier experiences may still be shaping what feels familiar or difficult today. Together, we make space to notice those patterns without judgment and explore what it would look like to respond in ways that feel more aligned with what you actually want.
I draw from a psychodynamic framework while also integrating tools like hypnosis and EMDR based on what feels most helpful. Hypnosis can support relaxation and help balance the intensity of processing trauma or difficult experiences, while EMDR can be incorporated when deeper reprocessing is needed.
My goal is to create a balance between insight, emotional processing, and meaningful change at a pace that feels manageable.
